We introduced a new page for snake bite management and I’ll try to keep everyone updated with this news/blog. As many of you have already known we have this new website directory. We wanted to add the most helpful resources till we build a main Alabama Herpetological Website for these pages. Remember our Snake Assistance & Services directory has multiple categories Exotic Veterinarians, Serpentariums & Zoos, Herp Societies & Educators, Snake Relocators, State DCNR offices, working on adding a listing of Physicians that specialize in snake bites. We have a page for helpful links and we just added the page for Snake Bite Management written by Dr. Spencer Greene
I made the website as easy for the client to search as possible. Someone searching for a Veterinarian or Snake Removal Specialist doesn’t need to be difficult to navigate. However if it does seem daunting I did make a page How it Works explaining the process in detail for those who are still having a difficult time searching. We hope this directory can become the largest and most useful resource for finding assistance with snakes. We already have over 400 submissions in about 350 locations, some even as far as Australia! People are able to create their own user and submit listings themselves. The listings can be claimed and managed by the owner. Each listing can have photos, social media, a description, it can even be given a rating and reviews by the clients! If anyone wants to be listed but don’t want to even bother with registering you are welcome to email us at AHS@alabamaherpsociety.com or use our contact form. We will be happy to get you or your business listed. Keep tuned for the release of our main website. I have a lot of ideas for these websites and hope you all enjoy them.
